Constitution Week

Berks County’s high school seniors have a unique oppportunity to see our Constitution in action. Every year, Lawyers and Judges go into our schools and present a case that illustrates an issue directly related to the United States Constitution. A practicing Attorney pleads the case before a Judge and a jury of students. After the jury returns its verdict, the students may ask questions of the Judge and the Attorney. Many of the students are either 18 years of age or about to turn 18 – the milestone that separates them from childhood and the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of becoming an adult – making their knowledge of the Constitution all the more important.
